Webquest – Looking Back at Earth

Webquest #11: The International Space Station

The International Space Station doesn’t just help us study space. It provides a whole new perspective on our home planet. Using state-of-the-art tools, the ISS has contributed important Earth science data for the nearly 20 years that humans have been on board. The space station does much more than just snap photos of our planet. It has evolved into a robust platform for researchers studying Earth’s water, air, land masses, vegetation, and more, contributing new capabilities and unique data using systems mounted both inside and outside the orbiting laboratory.
