About Climate Day

Confused about climate change? What’s with all the hype? Come along to our free “Climate Day” event on Friday March 26 and Saturday March 27 at the Pasadena Convention Center to sift the noise from the facts. Presented by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, in partnership with the Center for Ocean Sciences Education Excellence (COSEE-West) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Weather Service, this fun and educational event is open to students, teachers and the general public. Climate Day will feature hands-on activities, lectures by scientists and experts from NASA and beyond, a giant-illuminated Earth globe, exhibits, games (including Climate Jeopardy!), career information and more. Come along and learn about Earth’s changing climate.

The Friday, March 26 event is for students and educators only, and pre-registration is required. The Saturday, March 27 event is open to all, and pre-registration is not required.

Town Hall on Earth’s Climate — Saturday, March 27

Public Town Hall — “Our Changing Climate: NASA’s Eyes on the Earth”
Saturday March 27 from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Pasadena Convention Center

Scientists from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Scripps Institution of Oceanography will discuss their latest climate research and take questions from the audience.

Talks and Presentations

Experts from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory will be joined by scientists and personalities from the National Weather Service, SUNY, The Climate Project, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Glendale Community College and Fox 11 to answer any and all of your questions about climate change. Topics covered will include:
